GUWAHATI, Jan 4 - Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today stressed the need for creating opportunities for the youth of the North-east for honing their talents and making them self-reliant.

Singh, who was addressing a function of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in connection with its SEIL (Students Experience in Inter-State Living) initiative at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) auditorium, said negligence and isolation had pushed a section of NE youth out of the mainstream.

What we need is to create opportunities for them to hone their talent and to make them self reliant for a stronger bond between North-east and rest of the country. Initiatives such as SEIL can go a long way in promoting integration through cultural nationalism, he said.
