The misrule of the Congress in the State will get a befitting reply and the nation will again be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was quick to remind the people BJPs commitment to get the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 passed once the new government comes to power.

On the other hand, Sushmita Dev said, We shall not only put forth the fallacious and illusive promises including the CAB which in no way guarantees citizenship to the displaced, but also highlight the realistic commitments envisaged by the Congress like minimum income guarantee to the youths.

Sushmita said she is confident that the people of Silchar cutting across religious lines and other barriers shall bless her for representing them in the Lok Sabha. Blessings of my father late Santosh Mohan Dev will be the guiding light for me towards the battle of ballots, she maintained.
