SILCHAR, Dec 28 - At a time when speculation regarding the joining of axed Congress leaders, including former Minister Ajanta Neog, Rajdip Goala and Dr Rumi Nath is doing the rounds in the political ambit of the state, and Barak Valley in particular, BJP state general secretary and Silchar MP Dr Rajdeep Roy has made it clear that even as former Congress Minister Ajanta Neog, Congress MLA Rajdip Goala and Bhupen Pegu are likely to be inducted into the party soon, there is no place in BJP for another ex-Congress legislator Dr Rumi Nath, at least for now.
�Dr Rumi Nath is a closed chapter for now and there is nothing much left to discuss about her. We are looking ahead towards our mission 100+ in the 2021 Assembly election and those coming into the BJP after believing in the party�s ideologies will get membership and the state president will soon sit with them on the developments,� Dr Roy told reporters.
It may be recalled that BJP state president Ranjeet Kumar Dass had earlier clearly mentioned that Rumi Nath will not be inducted into the party so long as he remains the state president.
