Rajasthan team ready for Assam match

GUWAHATI, Oct 6 - The 15-member Rajasthan team, led by Ashok Maneria, arrived here yesterday for their season�s second Group A Ranji Trophy match against Assam which will be played at the Assam Cricket Association�s Barsapara stadium here from October 8.

Both Assam and Rajastha have three points each in their kitty as the teamd took first innings lead in the drawn matches against Karnataka and Delhi respectively.

Rajasthan scored 240 in reply to Delhi�s first innings total of 138. In their previous match Vineet Saxena, Puneet Yadav, Dishant Yagnik, Deepak Chahar, Pranay Sharma showed some class in batting while all rounder Deepak Chahar, who backed up his 5 for 60 with a 48-ball 50 runs for his team Rajasthan in the first innings, was adjudged man-of-the-match.

The team had a work out session at the Barsapa stadium today. The team flew to Guwahati from Delhi directly yesterday and stayed at the hotel.
