Rajah adalat held in Bongaigaon

BONGAIGAON, Sept 29 � The Bongaigaon district administration organised a rajah adalat at Khogorpur area in the district on Wednesday last.

Through this rajah adalat, which was held at the gaon panchayat office, an amount of Rs 45,000 was collected as land revenue. Sixty revenue-related cases, ten land partition cases and five miscellaneous cases were settled. Besides 30 registration cases were completed and land pattas were provided to 15 land owners.

In connection with the rajah adalat, the administration had also arranged public welfare services through forest, health, veterinary, agriculture, public health engineering and disaster management department at the same venue.

The Bongaigaon district women cell�s chairperson and ADC Chandra Devi, its members Bipasha Pathak Chaudhury and Boroda Kalita spoke on women�s issues to create awareness among the rural women.

Among the administrative officers present in the event were Deputy Commissioner Sankar Prasad Nandi, ADC Kishore Thakuria, ADC Monita Borgohain and Bongaigaon Revenue Circle Officer Sanjiv Kumar Sarma.
