GORESWAR, June 27 - A Raiz Mel was organized on the proposed Citizenship (Amendment ) Bill -2016, NRC and some other crucial issues by the Goreswar unit of Asam Sahitya Sabha at Bishnu Rabha Bhawan here at Goreswar in Baksa district today. The Raiz Mel was presided over by Satyanath Thakuriya, president of Goreswar Sahitya Sabha and the purpose of the meeting was explained by Parameswar Deka, secretary of Goreswar Sahitya Sabha.

The meeting was attended by several youth organizations. Amindra Nath from Goreswar Siksha Aru Krishi Unnayan Sangha, Muzammil Ali from Gariya Mariya Parisad , Sankar Choudhury from CPI (M), Joylata Deka from Ganatantrik Nari Mancha ,Gopal Deka from Kalita Janagusti Sanmilon, Ananda Deka and Mahsinul Haque discussed in details about the Bill and appealed to the people to oppose it in the greater interest of the State.

The organisations later submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Baksa through Baksha district unit of Assam Sahitya Sabha.
