TEZPUR, Nov 26 � The Defence Research Laboratory, Tezpur, celebrated its 52nd raising day on November 21. The celebration began with the unfurling of the Defence Research Laboratory flag by the Director, Dr Vijay Veer, in front of the Silver Jubilee Hall, which was followed by sports activities that included tug-of-war and musical chairs for ladies.

The session, presided over by Dr Vijay Veer, was attended by Prof (Dr) NC Bhattacharyya, principal, Tezpur Medical College, as the chief guest. The Director delivered the raising day address. The Laboratory Level Award was also presented in the programme. The SN Dubey Award for Best Paper was awarded to two papers submitted by two researchers of the laboratory. This was followed by a cultural programme which included Bihu dance and songs by invited artistes and the staff of the Defence Research Laboratory. Gifts were also distributed among the children of the staff of the Laboratory. Past members and the working staff of the Defence Research Laboratory were also present on the occasion.
