GUWAHATI, June 9 - Several parts of the city witnessed waterlogging twice today due to heavy rainfall in the afternoon and later, in the evening.
Parts of Chandmari, Rajgarh, Saraniya and Ulubari areas were inundated during the day, causing inconvenience to commuters, especially schoolchildren returning home. Water receded from the city roads, barring some lanes and by-lanes, as the rain stopped.
In the evening, several arterial roads witnessed waterlogging, creating traffic jams on the RG Baruah Road, MRD Road and GNB Road.
