IMPHAL, Dec 10 - Incessant rain in Manipur since yesterday has disturbed normal life in the State for the second day on Sunday.

The rains also forced the organisers to postpone the much-awaited Miss Manipur contest indefinitely. The contest was scheduled to be held at Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre here on December 9.

The winter rain has also severely affected the five day Orange festival at Tamenglong district headquarters. The evening programmes of the festival including the music shows on December 9 and Orange Queen contest on December 10 have been cancelled.

The valedictory function of the festival was shifted to indoor stadium where the best orange growers were honoured with cash prizes on Sunday.
