GUWAHATI, June 7 - The All India Railwaymen�s Federation and other central unions of employees have called for an indefinite nationwide strike from July 11.
The NF Railway Mazdoor Union will also take part in the strike, joint general secretary of the union Dilip Chakraborty said in a statement.
In this regard, the NF Railway Mazdoor Union has called for a convention at Maligaon here on June 9, which will be followed by a procession and strike notice.
The nationwide strike has been called to press for various demands of the unions, including recruitment to vacant posts. They are also protesting against the dilution of the Seventh Pay Commission recommendations and against changes in the pension policy.
