BADARPUR, June 23 � The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) Sudarshan Nayak, accompanied by NF Railway DRM, Niraj Kumar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Construction, Ajit Pandit, Chief Engineer, Ravindra Ram along with senior NF Railway officials of the Signal, Traffic Commercial and Operation and Engineering departments inspected the newly-constructed broad gauge (BG) line from Silchar to Badarpur-New Haflong hill section on Monday by railway�s motor trollies.
The officials inspected each BG track minutely, taking special note of Silchar Railway Station, Salchapra goods yard, Badarpur railway junction, and the New Haflong station. Nayak also examined the point-packing connection of signal tracks, interlocking system of Silchar and Panchgram, domino panel at Katakhal station and route relay interlocking system at Badarpur junction.
Later, on reaching Badarpur Railway Station, Nayak and his colleagues were welcomed by the people, employees, two railway unions and NF Railway officials of Badarpur. He also inspected the newly-constructed Badarpur railway station.
