By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, March 8 - Train connectivity to the Barak Valley, Mizoram and Tripura from the rest of the country has been cut off due to the rail blockade at Dima Hasao district organised by the Indigenous Students Forum and the Indigenous Womens Forum.

The rail blockade, which started from 5 am yesterday, is still continuing and as a result trains passing over that area (Dima Hasao) had to be either cancelled or short terminated, said Pranav Jyoti Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of NFR.

He said that the Habibganj-Agartala Express, which left Habibganj on March 6, will be short terminated at Guwahati and will remain partially cancelled between Guwahati and Agartala.

The Agartala-Habibganj Express, scheduled to leave from Agartala tomorrow, will now start from Guwahati on March 10 instead of Agartala.

The Agartala-Bangalore Humsafar Express, scheduled to leave from Agartala tomorrow, will also now start from Kamakhya instead of Agartala.

The Trivandrum-Silchar Aronai Express, which left Trivandrum on March 5, will be short terminated at Lumding and will remain partially cancelled between Lumding and Silchar.
