GUWAHATI, Nov 15 - Anti-corruption sleuths conducted a search at the social welfare directorate here today. The team examined hundreds of files of the directorate.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau had earlier registered a case (19/2016) following an FIR by the Director of Social Welfare pertaining to anomalies in the department. Manabendra Dutta, an employee of the department who was arrested a few days ago, was again taken into five days� police custody today.
�Investigation is on. We are investigating and examining various files. At the moment we can�t share anything with the media,� SP (Vigilance & Anti-Corruption) Mukul Saikia said.
