Radiology dept launched at Marwari Hospitals

GUWAHATI, Feb 25 - Lok Sabha Member Queen Oja on Monday launched the radiology department at Marwari Hospitals here. The department will have all modern facilities of radiological investigations, advanced CT machine, high end ultrasound, X-ray and DR system.

Speaking on the occasion, Oja said, �This is a very good initiative by the hospital authority and a right step in its service to the general people. A radiology department with all modern facilities is very much required in a hospital of this standard.�

Oja further said, �It will benefit the people more because they now won�t have to go to places like Bengaluru and Chennai for any kind of treatment related to radiology as the facilities will be available here.�

The department was built with full financial support from the Lohia Charitable Trust. President of Marwari Hospitals Sarat Kumar Jain expressed his gratitude to Kailash Chand Lohia and Bajrag Lohia (who were present at the event) of the Lohia Charitable Trust, which has been supporting the organisation by helping around 90,000 patients every year for the last 104 years.

Jain also assured that the new facility would help patients avail services at affordable costs. It is expected that around 25,000 patients can avail radiology services at Marwari Hospitals every year.

The function was attended by vice president of Marwari Hospitals OP Lahoty, various stakeholders, doctors, nurses, HR members, members of the administration and well-wishers of the hospital.

General secretary of Marwari Hospitals RS Joshi offered the vote of thanks.
