KAMPUR, Oct 20 � Brisk preparations are under way to celebrate the annual Raas Mohotsov at the historic Raas field here from November 6.
A preparatory meeting held on the occasion recently at the local Unnati Sadhini Sabha premises under the presidentship of Naba Kanta Boruah was attended by a large number of people across Kampur area, who offered suggestions on how best to celebrate the religious event.
A strong Raas celebration committee was also formed on the occasion.
Financial grant: Kampur Unnati Sabha has received a grant of Rs 1,05,000 from BJP leader Ramen Deka.
The amount will be spent for refurbation and renovation of Kampur Unnati Sadhini Sabha.
Established in 1949, Kampur Unnati Sadhini Sabha has been engaged in overall development of Kampur since the beginning of the post-independence era.
