NALBARI, March 10 - A state-level quiz competition on the life and contributions of Mamoni Raisom Goswami was held at Nalbari Natya Mandir in collaboration with Dakshin Pub Asia Ramayani Gobesona Kendra, Nalbari district unit of AASU and Nalbari Zila Asom Natya Sanmilani on Saturday.
The quiz competition was inaugurated by Bharat Bhusan Dev Choudhury, Deputy Commissioner of Nalbari.
During his inaugural speech, Dev Choudhury said there are several facets in Mamoni Raisom Goswami�s personality which are worth emulating.
Referring to the new generation, he added 'that the elders should create a conducive ambience for the teaching-learning process to flourish, or else the senior citizens will have to sharethe burden of blame for neglecting the upcoming generations� wellbeing.
The inaugural meeting was attended by Sabita Sarma, chairperson of Dakshin Pub Asia Ramayani Gobesona Kendra and its member Ganesh Tamuli, Bhabajit Bezbaruah, central executive of AASU, Bipul Chaliha, chief secretary of Asom Natya Sanmilani, relatives of Mamoni Raisom Goswami, Arundhati Goswami and Aloka Goswami, among others.
The inaugural meeting was conducted by Akshay Deka, secretary of Nalbari AASU. The quiz competition was conducted by Dipankar Kaushik.
