GUWAHATI, Sept 16 - On the occasion of National Poshan Month, Poshan Abhiyan Assam, in association with Multicultural Education Trust, O Aa Ka Kha and Mahabahoo, organised an all-Assam open quiz competition on �nutrition and health� in District Library auditorium here on September 14, said a press release issued today.

Nearly 300 people took part in the competition, which was inaugurated by Hrishikesh Goswami, Media Adviser to the Chief Minister.

In his speech, Goswami described mothers as only next to God and said that good health of mothers and their children would help build a strong society.

Calling for cooperation from every member of society for successful implementation of the government schemes in order to achieve equal and inclusive development, Goswami said such quiz competitions will create more awareness among the masses.

Hemen Das, secretary, Social Welfare Department and director, Poshan Abhiyan Assam delivered the welcome address.

The first three positions were bagged by Mridulram Kalita, Aditya Narayan Deb and Dhiman Bora and they won cash prizes and certificates. The quiz was conducted by Nayan Jyoti Bora and Dilip Kumar Sarma.
