UKHRUL, April 29 - American heavy metal rock band Queensryche rocked thousands of fans and rock music lovers during their debut performance in India on the closing day of the five-day ShiRock 2018 Festival here on Saturday night.

The progressive metal band belted out Revolution calling penned by the bands former vocalist Geoff Tate and guitarist Michael Wilton as their opening number of the non-stop 90 minute show.

The bands front man and vocalist Todd La Torre also unleashed a good number of popular tracks such as , Empire, Queensryche, Operation: Mindcrime , Breaking the silence, Road to madness, Eyes of the strangers, etc.

A well responsive crowd numbering more than 25,000 enjoyed the show by the five member Seattle-based metal band. Vocalist Torre continued to render the bands touching ballad Silent Lucidity and mind blowing powerful track Take hold of the Flame, during his first-ever performance in Indias Northeastern region, which is fast emerging as the most popular destination for international rock bands.

Some Queensryche fans expressed disappointment over the absence of guitar and drum solos by Michael Wilton and Casey Grillo.
