NEW DELHI, May 1 � The body of the seventh earthquake victim from Assam, Padmawati Mazumdar, reached the national capital from Nepal this afternoon.
Mazumdar's body was traceless though the other six bodies were identified and brought back to India. The body would be flown to Guwahati on Saturday morning, said officials here.
Mazumdar was identified by members of her family in Kathmandu. To expedite the process, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Sarbananda Sonowal had despatched some staff from his Ministry.
Sources said all of them along with ADG of Assam Police Umesh Kumar are returning to India.
