SILCHAR, Aug 12 - Following Government instructions to start the Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) in private health centres of the town for ascertaining the COVID-19 status of persons coming for treatment, three private hospitals out of 20 such health centres listed by the Cachar district administration have started the RAT on Tuesday.
District Media Expert Suman Choudhury informed that Green Heals Hospital, SS Polyclinic and Jeevan Jyoti Health Care and Research Centre have started RAT. They have started the tests for free.
Rudra Narayan Gupta, director of Green Heals Hospital, while talking to The Assam Tribune said, � till 5 pm, there were five patients undergoing the Rapid Antigen Tests and all of them have turned out to be negative. We have asked them to have their RTPCR tests done.�
Further, Gupta informed that from August 16, they are likely to start a 14-bedded dedicated Covid treatment facility for the patients.
