ITANAGAR, Oct 27 - The leaders of ruling coalition partners in Arunachal Pradesh � People�s Party of Arunachal (PPA) and BJP � led by North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) on Wednesday announced their candidate for the bye-election to Hayuliang Assembly seat, which fell vacant following the death of former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul on August 9 last.
In a joint meeting of PPA and BJP held at the CM�s conference hall here yesterday, Dasanglu Pul, third wife of late Kalikho Pul, was unanimously selected as NEDA�s official candidate for the bye-poll scheduled on November 19 next.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Pema Khandu told reporters that Dasanglu Pul was the unanimous choice of NEDA as its official candidate for the bye-election.
Khandu, however, informed that she will fight the elections on a BJP ticket.
