ITANAGAR, May 26 - Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul has made a courtesy call on the newly-elected Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at the Brahmaputra State Guest House in Guwahati on Wednesday and discussed some of the �burning� issues concerning the two States.
Pul in his brief meeting with his Assam counterpart urged on maintaining the age-old relations between the two neighbouring States. He further urged to resolve the boundary issues through dialogue and peaceful means.
While making a strong plea for working together on all development issues, Pul urged for close cooperation between the two States in developing hydropower projects in Arunachal and stressed on the need for taking confidence of the local people.
Pul, who had attended the swearing-in ceremony of Sonowal-led BJP alliance government on Tuesday, also met some of the newly-inducted Ministers including Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma, Ranjit Dutta, Chandra Mohan Patowary and Rihan Daimary, besides Rajya Sabha member Biswajit Daimary and BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary.
