GUWAHATI, Sept 25 � The Bhootnath Durga Puja Committee, this year, will be fabricating a 50-foot-high pandal replicating the Mayapur Iskcon temple, which is the headquarters of IskCon worldwide.
The beautiful temple is situated at Mayapur around 130 kilometres from Kolkata. Mayapur is also known as the spiritual capital of the world.
�The idols are based on terracotta pattern, decorated with reflectors and will be highlighted with shades of lighting," Amit Dhirasaria, a member of the organising committee.
The pandal entry will be lighted with solar lights with a motto to motivate the people to go green. �With the threat of global warming and power becoming scarce, we want people to come forward and do their bit,� he added.
