GUWAHATI, Sept 25 - The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST), Paschim Boragaon, Guwahati, is organising a public outreach science education programme tomorrow in connection with the India International Science Festival (IISF) to be held from October 5 to 8.
The programme aims at attracting students of schools and colleges to science education and research in the future besides encouraging small innovations by school and college students and other people in society.
�The institute has invited 11th standard students from ten colleges, totalling about 200 students. The programme will include a documentary show, popular scientific talks by programme heads of IASST, interaction with scientists, felicitation of child innovators and speeches, visits to IASST laboratories and other facilities. Prizes and certificates will be distributed to winners of the essay competition,� a press release said.
