GAURIPUR, Sept 7 - Ashok Kumar Singhi, MLA of Bilasipara East Constituency while attending a public meeting held on the premises of Lakshiganj HS Model School recently assured the public that the school field and the lavatory will be developed and for this purpose he has sanctioned Rs 20 lakh from the MLA development fund.
The meeting was presided over by Mani Sikha Das, president of the SMC and was addressed by Mainul Haque Mandal, Principal, Azad Ali Ahmed, general secretary, Sahitya Sabha, Bhadreswar Nath, mandal BJP president, Ramesh Roy, Anisha Begum, GP president and a few others.
The speakers expressed happiness and offered gratitude to the MLA for his gesture and assured him all kinds of help and cooperation for development work as the area was neglected for the last several years and the public have had to face many difficulties for want of development. The meeting was attended by the public, teachers and students of greater Lakshiganj area and the MLA was accorded warm felicitation for his visit to the area.
