BONGAIGAON, Sept 11 - For the first time, Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner Adil Khan conducted a public grievance redressal session at his office conference hall here on Tuesday.
All officials from various departments in the district were present in the session which has been named as Raijor Chora (Public Sitting) and gave reply to questions asked by the Deputy Commissioner on public complaints.
The deputy commissioner had received 24 complaints from public on water supply, roads, partition of land, construction of drains, non-functioning of streetlights, MGNREGA and PMY, etc.
�This session is helpful as it allowed me to put my complaint before the administration and seek quick solution,� said Mithun Ray, a resident of Bhakaribhita in Bongaigaon town.
Administrative officials from the district and sub-division were also present in the session.
Such sessions will be conducted on the second and fourth Tuesday every month, the deputy commissioner said.
