GUWAHATI, Sept 22 - The 29th annual conference of Indian Psychiatric Society, Assam State Branch will be held on October 12 and 13 at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra here.
The conference will be hosted by Department of Psychiatry, Gauhati Medical College and Psychiatrists of Guwahati.
Apart from psychiatrists and mental health professionals, prominent speakers from outside the State will share their knowledge on psychiatric disorder as resource persons.
The Indian Psychiatric Society, Assam State Branch is also organising a State-level essay competition on the occasion of World Mental Health Day on October 10. The essay competition is being organised for students from Class IX to Class XII.
Participants can send their essays written in Assamese or English either to [email protected] or [email protected] on or before September 30.
Again, on October 12, the society will hold a quiz competition for students from Class XI to Class XII of greater Guwahati area. The preliminary round of the competition will be held on October 10 in the academic hall of the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
