GUWAHATI, Feb 7 � Members of the Assam Engineering College Students� Union staged a protest march pressing for a number of long-standing demands including construction of a permanent boundary wall.

Aggrieved students demanded an alternative to ease the traffic congestion in and around the State's premier institute.

General secretary of the students� union Pranab Milan Gogoi said that they will continue to stage protest if the demands are not met. He also urged the authorities to take steps to remove illegal encroachment around the Deepor beel.
