JORABAT, Jan 2 - A protest demonstration was organised by the villagers of Pub-Malaibari area under Khetri Police Station today against the contractors for substandard construction of the road for their village.
Hundreds of villagers came out to protest against the anomalies in road construction work by the contractors.
A protester said that the 1,800-metre road which was being constructed by two person namely Kamal Kakati and Rajib Deka. �The first half of the road was constructed with good quality materials. But the second half is being constructed with very cheap and low grade materials, which compelled us to stage a protest and stop the construction work,� the protester said.
