GUWAHATI, Oct 5 - The Pratibandhi Suraksha Sanstha, Assam observed �black day� in the city on Saturday demanding justice over police atrocities. Last year on the same day, a number of persons with disability coming from different parts of the state sustained injuries when a team of Assam Police lathi-charged them during a protest at Dispur Last Gate.
To mark the occasion, the organisation on Saturday carried out a protest rally in Dispur, where hundreds of persons with disability from across the state took part. In a statement, the organisation said that after last year�s incident, it had moved the Chief Minister, State Chief Secretary and Director General of Police seeking justice, but even after one year, they were yet to get any response.
