Protective, hygiene kit distributed among city journalists

GUWAHATI, April 3 - Keeping in view the vulnerability of journalists covering the outbreak of novel coronovirus from ground zero, Guwahati Press Club (GPC) today distributed a protective-cum-personal hygiene kit to journalists of all the Guwahati-based media houses, including print, electronic and the digital media.

The kit comprised a protective jacket, pocket hand sanitiser (100 ml), surgical hand gloves and masks, besides a bottle of hand sanitiser (1000 ml, for office use).

The distribution was done on the GPC premises strictly following the social distancing norms.

During the course of the distribution, officer-bearers of the GPC expressed its gratitude to the Airport Authority of India (NE region), especially its regional executive director Sanjeev Jindal, for providing a helping hand by supporting the cause.

Pradip Puri of SM Enterprise, which provided the journalist with the protective jacket, was also present on the occasion.

Members of the GPC�s executive committee also thanked the members of the Club for supporting the initiative.
