Proposal for Aizawl Smart City approved

AIZAWL, Dec 12 - The proposal to make Aizawl a Smart City under Centre�s Smart City Mission has been approved yesterday by the State Level High Powered Steering Committee.

The proposal will be submitted to Union Urban Development Ministry on December 15 after which, subject to the further approval of the Ministry, Aizawl would be included among the first 20 Smart Cities.

The objective of Smart City Mission is to renovate existing cities into a more standard one and enhancing the facilities for the people living in the city.
