GUWAHATI, Nov 4 - Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, other leading personalities and the public will offer tributes to Dr Bhupen Hazarika at a memorial function scheduled at 9 am tomorrow on the occasion of the death anniversary of the legendary singer at the Samadhi Kshetra, Jalukbari.
The All Assam Students� Union (AASU) will observe the occasion by lighting 10,000 earthen lamps at Dighalipukhuripaar and hold a memorial function in front of Dr Hazarika�s statue there.
Sanskar Bharati is also organizing a mass song recitation by thousands of students against terrorism at the Nehru Stadium in RG Baruah Sports Complex from 9 am. It is expected that 30,000 students and citizens will gather to oppose terrorism and pay homage to Dr Hazarika on his death anniversary.
