Programmes on skill devp from July 2

GUWAHATI, June 17 - National Power Training Institute (NPTI), North Eastern Region, Kahilipara, will organise two free residential skill development training programmes on �Senior lineman distribution and attendant substation� from July 2.

The programmes, of two-month duration each, are allotted by the Assam Skill Development Mission with an objective to train matriculated candidates and ITI electrical-passed employed or unemployed youths to strengthen the skilled manpower for better performance in the distribution sector of the State.

NPTI will invite prospective employers like contractors, manufacturers, etc., for employment of the participants. During the training, major thrust will be given on practical training and visit to APDCL substations to train the participants so that APDCL and distribution network of Assam can get the benefits in the long run.

Free lodging and boarding will be provided to the participants. The interested and eligible candidates can contact the assistant directors of NPTI at its Dakhingaon, Kahilipara office between 10 am to 5 pm on working days.
