Programme on printing technology

GUWAHATI, May 19 - Printing Technology Consortium of North East (PTC-NE) organised two special interaction programmes along with technical session at Imphal and Kohima on May 8 and May 10 in association with Manipur Printing Technologist Association and Nagaland Printing Technology Association.

A statement issued by PTC-NE stated that the programmes was presided over by Consortium president Pranab Kumar Talukdar while the technical programme was conducted by Advisor & Director Printing, Meghalaya, SR Marak and Consortium secretary Anil Deka.

During the interaction and technical session the technocrats reviewed the infrastructure and machinery capacity of printing presses of the two States and prepared a road map to uplift the technology and skills in this region.

Printing technologists of Manipur and Nagaland of government and print media sectors participated in the programme. The Consortium is following up on a proposal to establish an Institution of Printing Technology in Guwahati, the release added.
