GUWAHATI, June 15 - The Assam Association of the Deaf today took out a rally from Lakhidhar Bora Kshetra here demanding thorough probes into the mysterious death of Luna Kalita, a hearing-impaired employee of an NGO IIRDA, Lankeshwar and the gruesome killing of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das in Karbi Anglong.
The association also submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on the issues through the Department of Social Welfare and demanded immediate measures to provide security to the vulnerable sections of society including physically and mentally challenged persons.
