GUWAHATI, Aug 6 - The Sadou Assam Devalaya Sangha � a body of several shrines of Assam � has demanded a thorough probe into the attack on some devotees in Sonitpur district on August 5.
�A group of devotees, who were on their way to the Haragouri Temple in Bhorasingori village, were attacked by some miscreants, in which several devotees were injured. Some district administration officials and police personnel who tried to control the situation, were also attacked by the miscreants,� the Sangha alleged.
�We urge Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to take immediate measures to identify and arrest the miscreants responsible for the incident,� the Sangha further said.
