GUWAHATI, Dec 30 - The district administration has asked Additional District Magistrate Gunajeet Kashyap to cause an inquiry into the death of one Tazimuddin at the Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati on October 30.
The deceased was at the Detention Centre of Tezpur Central Jail and was first shifted to the GMCH and then to the cancer institute where he died. The administration has asked the ADM to submit the probe findings with fifteen days along with the Complete Medical Treatment Record, PM Report, Inquest Report/ CD of PM and Viscera Examination report.
The Assam Human Rights Commission has directed the government to institute an inquiry into the case.
