Probe into alleged water contamination in Accoland

GUWAHATI, July 19 - The Kamrup (Metro) district administration today ordered an inquiry after reports of some visitors complaining of skin allergy due to alleged contaminated water at the Accoland Amusement Park at Rani.

An official statement issued by the district administration said that following submission of an inspection report by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nibedan Das Patowary and in view of the adverse news published in the local media regarding Accoland Amusement Park, Additional District Magistrate Ranjit Konwar has been directed to conduct a survey along with all line departments and agencies concerned.

Konwar has been directed to submit his findings to the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metro) within seven days.

Konwar will be assisted by Jituraj Gogoi, Assistant Commissioner of Kamrup (Metro), during the inspection.
