Pro-talk ULFA celebrates raising day

DOOMDOOMA, April 7 - The pro-talk group of the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) observed the 37th raising day of the organisation at Kakopothar designated camp today.

After the flag hoisting and swahid tarpan, an open session was held under the presidentship of ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa. The meeting was addressed by AJYCP president Biraj Talukdar, convener of Gana Mukti Sangram Samity Lu-chun Gohain, advocate Nekibur Zaman and several others.

The speakers criticized the Central and State governments on the proposed amendment to the Citizenship Bill. They also opined that the government had failed to keep their promises given before last elections.

Earlier, the chairman of the organisations delivered his written speech.

Several distinguished persons, along with the leaders and cadres of the pro-talk group of ULFA, attended the programme.
