GUWAHATI, Dec 19 � Priyana Kalita became proud winner of the double crown in the 19th All Assam Ranking Tennis Tournament All organised by North East Tennis Foundation (NETF).
In the finals played at the NETF courts here today, Priyana won the girls U-12 and U-14 titles defeating Rudraxee Bharali (6-1, 6-0) and Gloriya Daimary (6-2, 6-1) respectively in two one-dised title clashes.
Experienced Pamir Gogoi clinched the girls U-18 crown with a facile 6-3, 6-1 straight set victory against Marisha Dutta. The boys U-18 title went to Madhurja Dutta who beat Siddhant Deka 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 in an evenly fought final.
Arnav Jan Lahkar defeated Siddharth Choudhury 6-1, 6-4 for the boys U-12 title while the boys U-14 crown was claimed by Archis Borthakur who downed Vishal V Saikia 6-3, 6-1 in the final.
In the U-18 girls doubles, Marisha Dutta pairing with Manaswinee Hazarika, beat Pamir Gogoi-Priyana Kalita pair 8-7 while the U-14 boys doubles title went to Anchit Talukdar and Aditya Phukan duo who beat Vishal Saikia and his partner Archis Borthakur 8-7.
