Private tutor held for molesting student

JALUKBARI, Oct 8 - A 52-year-old private tutor was arrested today by Jalukbari police for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old boy who went for tuitions at his apartment in Adabari area.

According to police sources, the teacher was molesting the student for quite some time. For the past few days, the boy avoided going for his private lessons. When the pupil narrated his ordeal to his parents, they at first decided not to lodge any complaint but an NGO UTSAH (Universal Team for Social Action and Help) conducted an inquiry and lodged a case today under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act at the Jalukbari Police Station. Police are investigating the matter.
