MORIGAON, June 22 - Lipika Boruah, Principal, Morigaon Girls� Higher Secondary School was given compulsory retirement notice yesterday (June 21) by the Inspector of Schools, Morigaon.
Tarun Chandra Bora, Inspector of School (IS), Morigaon told this correspondent that he paid a sudden visit to Morigaon Girls HS School yesterday and detected a forgery case in the Service Book of the Principal of the school. The IS, Morigaon further said that the age certificate of Lipika Boruah showed the date of birth as 01-01-1956. But in her Service Book, the date of birth was doctored as 01-01- 1957. This was done by the former IS, Morigaon, Anisur Rahman Choudhury way back in 2003. As such, Lipika Boruah was working till June 21 in an illegal way, the IS, Morigaon said.
Lipika Boruah, sister-in-law of former MLA, Morigaon Jon Jonali Boruah was holding the charge of Principal of Morigaon Girls� HS School even after her superannuation causing concern among the local people. Conscious citizens have demanded an inquiry into the matter as to how a service book of a principal was doctored at the IS Office, Morigaon.
