NAGAON, Oct 11 - In connection with the firing as well as snatching incident near a fuel station at Kathiatoli on Thursday afternoon, Nagaon police last night itself arrested the prime accused and also picked up four other youths.
According to sources, the prime accused has been identified as Elias Uddin of Rangalu grant. Sources said here today that Elias had earlier worked at the same fuel station and had all information in detail.
Elias was the main culprit behind the entire plan to rob Raju alias Rajkumar Jain, the manager of the fuel pump. Police have already gathered all evidence in support of his involvement in the case, sources said adding that evidence of involvement of the four other youths who were also picked up, is yet to be gathered by police till the filing of this report.
Talking to this correspondent, Superintendent of Police Nagaon, Shankar Brata Raimedhi said that police had already found all evidence of involvement of Elias Uddin and based on those evidence, he was arrested and remanded on police custody. But in the case of the four others who were also picked up last night, it is yet to be established whether they were involved or not in the case.
