DHUBRI, Feb 20: Hundreds of primary teachers sat on a demonstration on Saturday in front of the office of the District Elementary Education Officer, pressing their various demands.

Anowar Hussain, the general secretary of Dhubri District Primary Teachers’ Association, stated that their main demands before the State government are to create a permanent and dedicated post of head teachers for the lower primary schools and restoring the grade pay to Rs 8,700, again.

In this regard, a memorandum has also been submitted to the State Education minister.
