Prerana from Bongaigaon secures 10th rank

BONGAIGAON, June 6 - Prerana Deka, a student of Bongaigaon HS (English Medium) School has secured 10th position in the HSLC examination getting 584 marks. Her father Digambar Deka is an inspector of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and mother Bandana Deka is a railway employee. They live at BG Colony in New Bongaigaon.

Prerana obtained 92 in Assamese, 97 in English, 100 in General Mathematics, 98 in General Science, 97 in Social Science and 100 marks in Advanced Maths. She intends to become an aeronautical engineer. According to her private tuitions are not necessary for good results, and everything depends on the students. Also there is no fixed study hours for better results, one can study according to his or her own schedule, Prerana said. She likes to sing songs and listen to music during leisure time. The covid-19 lockdown gave a good opportunity to Prerana to study books other than those from the course.
