HAILAKANDI, June 13 - The Hailakandi district administration has started preparations for holding mega show on International Yoga Day scheduled on June 21.
As part of preparations for Yoga Day, a meeting was held on Wednesday at the Deputy Commissioner�s conference hall here by Additional Deputy Commissioner, EL Faihriem. Chief Executive Officer, zila parishad, NKSK Singha, Circle Officers and district heads of concerned departments were also present.
Faihriem issued directions to the concerned departments and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan to organise the International Yoga Day in a befitting manner. The main function will be held at the office complex of the Deputy Commissioner.
The officials have been asked to conduct a massive awareness drive. Similarly, a training session will held for participants. Directions have been issued to ensure participation of students, NGOs and various organisations.
It was decided that training session must be conducted by experts or instructors for adopting the right Yoga asanas by participants.
Departments, educational institutions and NGOs participating in the Yoga Day have been asked to submit the list and number of participants attending the Yoga Day. Apart from government departments and educational institutions, security personnel from the army, para military forces, CRPF, Assam Police and other law enforcing agencies are expected to participate.
