DOOMDOOMA, Sept 2 - Along with the rest of the nation, Tinsukia district administration is also preparing to celebrate the 57th Teacher�s Day on September 5.
A district-level programme to be held at the auditorium of Senairam HS School at Tinsukia will be inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Oinam Charan Kumar Singh. The programme will be chaired by retired teacher Radhakanta Gogoi. Eminent academician and the Principal of DHSK College, Dibrugarh Dr Sashikanta Saikia will attend the programme as chief guest.
Altogether, 25 teachers from lower primary to college level of the district have been selected for presentation of district-level award for their remarkable contributions to the field of education.
The selected teachers are Dr Budhin Gogoi of Margherita College, Rina Khanikar of Margherita Public HS School, Induprabha Ujir of Dangari HS School, Amiruddin Ahmed of Dirak HS School, Anima Borthakur of Kailashpur High School, Basant Lal of Hindi English High School,Tinsukia, Brij Kishore Gupta of Saikhowa Hindi High School, Subhashish Chakraborty of Durgabari Sishu Vidyalaya, Tinsukia, Amal Kumar Sharma of Kakopothar HS School, Jaya Dutta of Tinsukia Bengali Girls� HS School, Pradip Saikia of Phillobari High School, Ajit Dutta of Tejipathar High School, Samiran Borgohain of Gopalkrishna Girls� High School, Makum, Sanjay Pran Thakur of Hijuguri Asomiya High School and Ratul Gogoi of Tinsukia Jatiya Vidyalaya, Kalyan Bora of Bordoloi Nagar ME School, Tinsukia, Munin Burhagohain of Baputi Gogoi ME School, Margherita, Siwnath Thakur of Doomdooma Hindi ME School, Shiba Prasad Doley of Shantipur ME School, Sadiya and Manik Saikia of Mridangpara MV School, Shivani Gogoi of Aathmile LP School , Sadiya, Phulanti Borah Moran of Kakojan No. 3 LP School, Bijoy Kakoti of Panitola Nagar LP School, Sukhini Dowaniya of Namdang Golai LP School, Margherita and Jiten Handique of Bimala Prasad Chaliha LP School, Tinsukia.
The teachers as above will be awarded in the Teacher�s Day programme. On behalf of the celebration committee, Prakash Dutta, spokesperson of Tinsukia District Academic Council urged all to participate in the programme which is scheduled to start from 11 am.
