GUWAHATI, March 26 - The Kamrup Metro district administration held a meeting with various stakeholders of the city on Saturday to discuss issues related to the ensuing Namami Brahmaputra Festival.
Representatives from the Asam Sahitya Sabha, various transport associations, traders� bodies, hotel and restaurants� associations, petroleum traders, Kamrup Chamber of Commerce, wholesale and retail traders� associations and other socio-cultural organisations attended the meeting.
Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner Dr M Angamuthu said that the participants assured their help and cooperation before the administration for smooth completion of the festival, including maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene in their respective premises, better presentation and turnout of the employees in the event, illumination, paintaining and decoration of their premises or business establishments, besides provision of drinking water and other basic facilities.
