NORTH LAKHIMPUR, April 15 - A pre-spring festival was held at Madhabdev College at Narayanpur in Lakhimpur district to celebrate the arrival of Rongali Bihu and other spring festivities.
The festival was organised by the teaching and non-teaching staff of the Madhabdev College on Friday which began with the plantation of saplings by Lakhiram Dutta and Jeevan Chandra Dihingiya in the morning.
The flag hoisting ceremony was conducted by the president of the organising committee Makhan Tamuly. Prominent personalities from Narayanpur were felicitated by the organisers. An open Bihu competition, was also held.
